About ICTEC, Crescent University Abeokuta
The University’s ICTEC Centre was set up to provide emerging solutions to propagate the University to the world and to support teaching, research, and administrative activities for all Units in the University. The Center is also ensuring that students are trained on evolving ICT technologies through the programme tagged Computer Certification Courses (CCC); aimed at preparing our students for the Job Market before and after graduation.
Vision
To develop healthy infrastructure and services to enhance the teaching, learning, research, and administrative functions of the University.
Mission
To coordinate, facilitate, and transform the institution into an automated workspace that supports teaching, learning, and research using ICT tools.


Present and Future Activities of ICTEC Centre
- To design, develop, and manage robust campus-wide ICT infrastructure.
- To develop appropriate solutions for the University.
- To manage the University’s Result Portal.
- To carry out research and development in ICT in collaboration with other Departments.
- To be involved in training on computer literacy.
- To organize ICT Training for ALL students in the University Like Oracle, CISCO, etc.
- To provide periodic updates and information that will promote the image of the University.
- Regularly update web pages with news within the University.
- Collate recent research and major breakthroughs within the University and make them available on the Website.
- To maintain the University’s servers and computer systems.
- To carry out Troubleshooting of networking problems and proffer solutions.
- To update computer utility software e.g. Antivirus, registry cleaner, etc.
- Respond to and resolve ALL ICT problems within the University.
- To assist in developing the University’s Website.
- Carry out an Online registration of students.
- Carry out in-house Networking services instead of outsourcing.
