About CUAB Student Affairs Division

The division is made up of the Students Affairs Office, Guidance and Counselling Unit and Halls of Residence for the effective discharge of its responsibilities and a conducive atmosphere on campus. Crescent University Student Affairs Division is a private University where all students are fully residential within the campus and therefore serves as an interface between the students and the management especially on matters affecting their wellbeing on campus.  

The Unit most often collaborates with the Colleges, and other administrative or service units of Crescent University and students themselves, providing the proper atmosphere and good interpersonal relationships that are essential for the overall social and academic performance in the university.

The Division fosters student growth and also aids, directs and informs students about services and programmes that will expand students’ educational experiences and prepare them for diverse lives in local and global communities.





The College of Health Sciences takes pride in its exceptional facilities, fostering an optimal environment for hands-on learning and research in the health sciences.



Guidance and Counselling Unit headed by a team of professionals (Male and Female).



Hall Management Unit comprising: Hall Wardens; Heads, (Male and Female Hostel Supervisors); Supervisors and Porters etc.


Key Responsibilities

In pursuant of the vision and mission of the University, the Center was established with the aim of achieving the following:

  • Registration for Courses for both freshmen and returning undergraduates: All freshmen are requested to collect from the registry, registration forms, payment clearance and copies of the regulations two days before the day fixed for central registration.
  • Diversity: it assists in promoting understanding and mutual respect of personal and cultural differences and similarities by building supportive and inclusive communities.
  • Environmental support: It provides a supportive environment where students or members of the university community may safely learn, meet, live, teach, work and relax.
  • Guidance and Counselling Unit: Offers counselling to students through the guidance and counselling unit for students on university probation and those sent for counselling on immoral grounds and for bad conduct. The services are free to students and are confidential.
  • University Scholarship:  The Unit serves as a link between students and sponsoring authorities, both within and outside Nigeria.
  • National Youth Service Corps Matters: The Division handles the collection and compilation of personal data forms for the mobilisation of prospective National Youth Service Corps Members for processing and transfer to the NYSC Headquarters in Abuja.
  • Monitoring and Supervision of Student Clubs and Societies: The Division is responsible for recommending any Clubs or Societies to the management at the beginning of each session after fulfilling conditions for the registrations of clubs and/or societies.
  • Accommodation in Halls of Residence: The Division is saddled with the responsibility of handling qualified students’ accommodation in Halls of Residence.
  • Provision of support services: The Division is responsible for updating the management on the provision of sports and recreational facilities for students on Campus e.g. Sports, Table tennis, Handball pitch, athletics, volleyball etc.
  • Resources Management: The Division ensures the availability of intra and inter Campus transport or shuttle for students especially during the Association weeks and any facility as may be demanded by students.
  • Issuance of I.D Card: The Division of Student Affairs issues Identity Cards and Interim Identity Cards, in case of loss of the real cards.
  • Issuance of Newsletter: The Newsletter about the NUC status of CUAB Programmes, Date of Convocation and expectation of graduands, Registration procedure for a  semester and results checking among others are issued to students at the end of each session in collaboration with the Registry.
  • Convocation: The Division also distribution of Convocation gowns, scrolls and Caps to graduands during and ensure the return of same for laundry services.
  • Other Services: Coordination of Seminars, talks and serves as a link between the University alumni and other agencies that would lead to career development.
