UTME
To be eligible for admission at Crescent University, Abeokuta, candidates must meet the following general requirements:

General Admission Requirements
- A minimum of five credits in SSCE, GCE, NECO, or any approved equivalent.
- The five credits must include English Language and Mathematics and any other 3 subjects as specified by each department. Please refer to the departmental requirements by going to the College page.
- The five credits should be obtained in no more than two sittings and must have been obtained within the last five years. Candidates awaiting results may also apply.
- Candidates who have chosen Crescent University as their preferred institution and have achieved an acceptable score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be offered admission through JAMB.
- These candidates must also obtain the university’s screening form via the e-portal and pass the oral interview conducted as a prerequisite for admission.
- All applicants must participate in Crescent University’s screening exercise as admission will not be offered without completing the screening process.
Changing First Choice to Crescent University
- Interested candidates who have initially applied to JAMB and wish to change their first choice to Crescent University must:
- Apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
- Obtain the Crescent University, Abeokuta, screening form via the e-portal.
- Participate in the screening exercise.

PROCEDURES FOR ADMISSIONS
To apply for admission at Crescent University, please follow these procedures

Obtain the UTME form for the current year and score a minimum of 180 marks.

Visit the e-Portal to make a payment of Ten thousand naira (N10,000) application fee and apply for admission via the portal.

Make a payment of One thousand naira (N1,000) as a Screening fee via the e-portal and wait to be invited for a screening exercise.
4
Accept the admission offer when you successfully pass the screening exercise and proceed with the registration exercise.
ADMISSION TO 200 LEVEL (DIRECT ENTRY)
For admission to the 200 level at Crescent University, the following criteria apply:

Direct Entry Admission Requirements
- NCE, OND, and their approved equivalents in relevant fields, with at least an Upper Credit level.
- Advanced Level passes or their equivalents in relevant subjects are accepted.
- The O’Level requirements stated above must also be fulfilled.
- The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) at acceptable grade levels is also considered.
- In exceptional cases, holders of OND with lower credit from recognized institutions may be admitted to 200 level (Part II) in relevant degree programs.
- Similarly, HND holders with lower credit from recognized institutions may be admitted to the 200 level in relevant degree programs.
- Candidates must pass interviews conducted by the University.
Transfer Candidates
- Make payment and submit an Application via our E-Portal page.
- Hold the minimum entry requirements for admission into the university.
- Ensure that the transcript of academic records and a special confidential report from appropriate officials of their current institution are received in the Admissions Office of Crescent University at least two months before the commencement of the intended session for which admission is sought.
- Have a CGPA of not less than 1.5.
We welcome transfer students who meet these criteria to join Crescent University and continue their educational journey with us.
TRANSFER CANDIDATES
Candidates seeking to transfer from other universities to Crescent University must fulfill the following requirements:

- Make payment and submit an Application via our E-Portal page.
- Hold the minimum entry requirements for admission into the university.
- Ensure that the transcript of academic records and a special confidential report from appropriate officials of their current institution are submitted via the e-portal of Crescent University at least two months before the commencement of the intended session for which admission is sought.
- Have a CGPA of not less than 1.5.

Graduation Requirement
Eligibility
To be eligible for the award of the Bachelor’s Degree, a student must satisfy the following graduation requirements:
Eligibility:
- A Student must register for a minimum of 15 or a maximum of 25 credit units in any one semester, provided that the total credit load does not exceed 48 in a session.
- A student must pass a minimum of 120 credit units for a 4 year programme and 150 credit units in 5-year programme including all the compulsory courses prescribed by the Departments and excluding the University based courses (GNS and special elective).
Classification of Degree
The class of degree is determined by the student’s CGPA, calculated to two decimal places, at the end of the programme, as follows:

Approved clubs usually have all encompassing series of activities ranging from lectures, symposium, awards, excursion and so on for their Association Weeks usually in the second semester. Students are expected to join one or more of the following societies and clubs

Extra Curricular Activities
The following are some of the extracurricular activities:
Extra Curricular Activities on Campus
- Dukelands Intercollegiate Sports Competition which comprises of staff and students games in Soccer, volleyball, basketball, chess and scrabble. This takes place in the first semester of the session.
- Bola Ajibola Champions Cup which is a soccer competition for students. It takes place in the second semester of every session to mark the Founders Day of the University.
- Alhaji Adelakin Table Tennis Champions Cup for students in second semester.
- Excursions are usually organized by the students’ association.
- Student’s Seminar/Symposia are also organized by the students’ associations.
- Awards and Dinner are also organized by the associations on campus.
- Annual Weeks are organized by the associations on campus.
